Sell-Barter-Exchange

RULE NUMBER 1

There are no rules. Let’s get creative.

RULE NUMBER TWO

Who says when you do perform a service for some one or exchange goods that money also has to be part of the payment.

RULE NUMBER THREE

You will never know until you ask. Maybe the person around the corner who fixes your drain would prefer to be paid in you doing his tax return.

They don’t call the old days, the good old days for nothing. Barter and exchanging services and goods was a common practice. People had the ability to perform tasks and were skilled individuals but were not in a position to pay for services and goods in return.

The blacksmith could put shoes on your horse but was not able to pay you in cash for the flour you had at your mill. The logical step was to barter or exchange his service for your goods. Not only did this system work, it helped to get excess goods and labor into the hands of the people who needed it most.

Helping Hired Hands, HHH I hope will encourage people who have skills and labor to offer, will encourage others to  barter and exchange goods and labor they have in order for the two parities to both benefit from the exchange.

The following are just some examples of how you might Sell- Barter-Exchange with the people who you might meet here. These are just some suggestions, get creative and offer up what you have and you never know who might give you a ring.

  • You exchange a service for a service, babysitting for carpentry
  • You exchange a service for some product, some dry walling for home made baking
  • You exchange some materials you have with some one else who has some materials you want, lumber for paint

One Persons Junk is Another Persons Treasures

The same is true with skills we all have. What you find easy to do, I find difficult or impossible to do. Bartering and Exchanging what you find easy to do with someone who would be more than happy to pay you to take this task off their hands is a way to encourage people within your local community  to reach out and meet and interact with people they may not of normally met.

Remember, get creative, make a Post and let people know you are open for suggestions on how to Barter-Exchange with them.
